IMETRIK IS SHUTTING DOWN ITS 3G AND 3.5G DEVICES...

Dear Canadian iMetrik users,

We have just learned that iMetrik will be shutting down their 3G and 3.5G servers in the next few days. All iMetrik devices with a serial number starting with an "F" will go dark any day. This will not affect iMetrik 4G devices starting with a Q.

This from iMetrik

Imetrik is phasing out its core 3.5G Network. Older generation 3.5G devices will no longer have network connectivity, and will become inactive. Current generation 4G devices will not be impacted. Click here for More Details

The suspension of 3.5G network connectivity only impacts older 3.5G devices. Virtually all of these devices were sold / installed 3 or more years ago. Imetrik is in the final phase of decommissioning its legacy 3.5G core network infrastructure.

The current generation of 4G devices are not impacted, and will remain active. All 4G devices have serial numbers beginning with the letter Q. For further clarity, all 3.5G devices will go inactive & have no network connectivity past Nov 3, 2023.

Imetrik will be sending the authorized account owner a list of impacted legacy 3.5G devices. For any questions regarding the above, please connect with Imetrik customer support @ 1-866-276-5382 ext: 5.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Despite previous announcements made by iMetrik on August 3, 2023, we were led to believe that iMetrik would keep their 3G & 3.5G devices up and running as long as the carrier would offer the service. (Please see our previous announcement in our news page)

This is coming to us as a complet surprise as we at RCI were also led to believe that the service would still go on until December 2025 and this is the information we have been passing on to our customers.

iMetrik is telling us that should you need to keep some devices up and running, there might be a way, for a fee.

Please understand that this is completely out of RCI's control. Should you be interested in keeping some or your 3G or 3.5G running, or should you need more clarification about this shut down, please contact iMerik directly.

We are sorry for the inconveniences this may cause you.
